„The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing.“

In everyday life, we confidently control our bodies, use computers, and improve our skills in law, cooking, financial analysis, or other professional areas. But how do we train our minds? How do we manage our emotions in challenging situations and communicate more effectively within them? That is often the key to success and a more satisfying, balanced experience in both personal and professional interactions.

To use our minds effectively in communication, we must first understand how they work, what mechanisms drive them, and what emotions most often arise. And this can be learned and practiced! But it isn’t easy—because most of us were never really taught how. We tend to divide emotions into “bad” (negative) and “good” (positive). But emotions are just that—emotions. Our anger isn’t inherently good or bad—it’s what we do with it and how we express it that matters. Joy brings pleasure, but it can also blind us to things (How did I not see that before?). And envy (ugh, that’s a “bad” one, right?)—can actually be a powerful motivator pushing us to achieve what someone else has…
